|| The Elijah Wood Edition ||

Photobucket
Photobucket Let's take a moment to talk about Elijah Wood. It has been a whole week since I mentioned him last and it is high time I bring him up again. Some people have a Hollywood crush that has lasted their whole life...and mine would be that of THE Elijah Wood. Nothing major I AM a married woman, but every time his face or name pops up on my radar I am reminded of that sweet sweet face. That last picture above was one of the pictures of him I had posted on my door as a teenager. Remember Kerianne? It was there along with other magazine tear outs that filled my bedroom door.

I was watching THIS video yesterday and was so embarrassed for all those crying girls, but upon further examination of myself...I am pretty sure I would be one of those girls if I ever had the chance to meet Elijah...okay and maybe One Direction as well{says my 27 year old self}. But seriously, I think my face would melt off and my heart would go cra cra if I was ever in close vicinity to Elijah Wood...and if I ever got to talk to him??...You can forget about it, tears like a crying teenager for sure. I am getting a little flustered just thinking about it. Question for you...if you were in a store and there in the dairy isle was standing Mr. Elijah Wood{or fill in your Hollywood crush} what would be worse, going up to him and talking to him, but not making sense because you can't think straight whilst crying OR not talking to him at all? That's a tough one. Actually, I think I would be able to pull myself together and say something funny...that's usually how I roll. Actually, now that I think about it I should probably have something prepared for the day I DO meet him. This is a when situation, not an if.

Besides his darling face, infectious smile and laugh, love for music, incredible chillness{seemingly}, being a smooth talker, perfect amount of confidence, and his amazing acting skills...he is quite the snazzy dresser too. I am pretty sure we would be BFF.

What Hollywood crush has stuck with you over the years?? And please don't tell me Zac Efron or Channing Tatum. Bore.

|| June Calendar Download ||

Photobucket
Photobucket June calendar download!! Can you believe it? I almost missed it, looked at the calendar this morning and was like whoa it's the last day of May! Crazy. I have been waiting for June to come for months and months and months. {my sister and her husband and baby come this month to visit us here in Switzerland, huzzah!!}

I made some minor additions to this months calendar and updated the desktop wallpaper calendar. I wanted to try having the dates smaller this time, I rather like it. Do you? The wallpaper is already up as my desktop background. Also, I didn't put Father's day on because I realized some people might not have Father's Day in June {Australia and New Zealand} and so I thought I would admit putting holiday's on all together. I want the calendar to work for everyone. Good thing you can add your own.

LOVE these. The dresses are a little too short for my liking, but they are such great pieces.
I love how that pink dress is paired with those polka dot tights. Fab.

|| Living In Seinfeld ||

Photobucket
Here is my modern take of living in Seinfeld, one of my all time favorite shows. If you are a huge Seinfeld fan like moi then you will know what each of these pieces are for. If you don't know the story behind one{or more} of these things, ask and I will tell.

My little ode to the show that keeps me laughing and keeps me company while Jachen is at work. I have been wanting to do this post for a long time now and I finally did it. It makes me really happy.

Sooo...maybe this morning I watched video after video of One Direction on their youtube stream, so what! Their songs are so fun, I don't think I will ever get sick of What Makes You Beautiful. Harry Styles is my favie, but that Niall Horan is my next favie. What cuties. I LOVE Harry's singing voice, wowzas, and boy does he have good style. If I had never been to London, I would have thought these boys were dressed solely by stylists, but after seeing the street style of Londeners{is that what they're called?} I now know people actually dress this good in real life. I wouldn't mind Harry getting a hair cut, but his curls are sure adorable. Which One Direction boy is your fav??

|| Would You Rather//Living Room ||

PhotobucketEach of these rooms have very interesting elements. The room on the left has an interesting style and color scheme of brown, white and black...a little masculine. I love the high wood beamed ceiling and interesting round window as well. The room on the right has a feminine southwest feel. I love the big rolling coffee table. Both have great bold white walls that make the rest of the decor in the room pop.

|| Target Lovin' ||

Photobucket
Target is my all time favorite store. It has everything plus style. I misssss shopping or even just walking around Target so much. Many of you know I dream about Target. It's the only store I dream about. Whenever I dream about going to the States and stocking up on American products, it's always at Target. It would change my life right now if there was a Target here {a bit of an exaggeration}. There are some really great purses, bags and clutches at Target right now. I thought I would share my favorites. How fun are they?!

|| The Conversation ||

Photobucket
How inspiring this was. I look forward to watching more of The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet. I really miss participating in really good conversation. I get it sometimes, but not as much as I would like or feel I need. I love hearing empowering and strong words and thoughts from other women. Women of all lifestyles and statuses can have such marvelous things to say. I felt very happy and motivated as a women after watching these conversations. This episode talks a lot about self. Knowing, understanding and listening to ourselves. About being strong women for ourselves and being happy with who we are and how we choose to live our lives.

What I really liked hearing from Miley Cyrus...
You can't change your past and you can't let your past stop you from having a great present and future. Enjoy being alone with yourself. Be your own person. To go inside your mind and think, "do I really think that". If you met yourself would you really like yourself. Being cool, too cool, is so dumb.

What I really liked hearing from Melissa McCarthy...
After you have kids there is only so much stuff you can worry about. You wish certain things were different, but all the important things are there and someday I will be better on my elliptical. Women are nuts about how they look. You can maintain your sanity by saying "you're crazy, that is not actually true" when others and even yourself put down how you look. There is this weird sense of perfection in the world and in movies and television. There is too much emphasis on "perfect" female characters, that is nothing to relate to. "No matter how bionic someone looks, if they are interesting, have a point of view and if they are doing something cool...that's so much more fascinating to me and I think to everybody." Not letting our daughters have the princess mindset, that life isn't a fairytale and to be happy however your life turns out.

What I really liked hearing from Diane von Furstenberg...
The most important relationship, is the relationship you have with yourself. You should never lose yourself. All women are strong, but not all women show it. "You have to accept yourself. Look at yourself critically, the good the bad. You have to be strict with yourself to some degree, but never you can lose yourself. Trouble really happens when you lose yourself." Fear is not an option. "Women should have children, absolutely, it's part of who we are. Our bodies are made to have children. We should have children. But I think it is very important that a women has a separate identity outside the family." You design your life everyday. Solitude is very important. Trust yourself and your intuition and instincts. "I did not know what I wanted to do, but I knew the woman I wanted to be. And that was an independent women."

What I really liked hearing from Glenda Bailey...
"Time is so precious. And when you love someone and you want to do the best for them, it's an investment which will come back many many times." "It is so important to know to listen to yourself. I think so often people get so side tracked with other peoples opinion and if you are really sure of a decision just don't get side tracked. Just focus and to yourself be true. At the end of the day we only have one life and it's up to you how you use yours." "Knowing when you are not good at something and knowing when you are good at something is an art form." Be fearless, be willing to lose everything. If you are true to yourself, what risk is there really. "The biggest mistakes I have ever made are when I've ignored what I know to be true in my heart."

Also at the end Glenda says, "Time has taught me to be patient and flexible. I have to realize that maybe it wasn't meant to be right now, but that doesn't mean it can't be next month or next year. And it's inevitable you get there in the end."

|| Would You Rather//Chair ||

Photobucket
A great chair can add so much to a living room, bedroom, nursery, den etc. I am sure you know this. I LOVE the style of the white chair, but I don't think I would ever be able to own white furniture in my home. And if so, it would never be allowed to be touched, ha. So pretend the chair is your dream color. I also love the style of the orange chair. Seems roomy and comfy and I love the high arms. Both would be an awesome addition to a home. Which chair would you rather have in your home??
