Mega drool. The COLORS!! Gorgeous hand blown glass candle holders. I wish these were drinking glasses though, I would love to have a set of these as drinking glasses. Right HERE are their drinking glasses, although I don't love the shape of those as much. I have always wanted to learn how to blow glass, I think that would be an amazing skill to learn. When I was younger one of my elementary classes went to the Chihuly Boathouse studio in Seattle to watch the process of blowing glass. Ever since, I have been amazed. I am in love with the "thank you" color. Which color are you eyeing?

See how they are made HERE

Yes, yes, yes! I love the simplicity of this white walled home, something I could never do...I am not very good at simplicity nor minimalism, but I sure do appreciate it. That master bedroom is so beautiful and I could for sure see our room like that one day {adding in a few more shelves of my nicknacks of course}. I love the white sheer curtains that cover the home too, a great tie into all the rooms.

I have acquired many albums lately and I wanted to share them with you. I am for sure a music hoarder, I can't get enough of good music. I am a bit picky about what music I listen to, but I also like a lot of styles and am open to anything....hence, I love One Direction. I think that is very important to be open and I think owning good music is very important as well. I truly believe music is a reflection of who you are and how you feel inside. I don't think you should pretend you like music just cause it's cool or someone tells you to like a certain band...you need to feel it and like the music yourself. So when I suggest music to you I hope you find out for yourself whether these albums or songs of the day are for you. My taste in music is broad like I said, but I sure don't just purchase any music. There is an art to finding music and I like to be your middle man...I find/have the goods and I share it with you...whim bam...you got yourself a great variety of quality music. Turn off that mainstream radio station and broaden your taste.

I am very impressed by the quality of albums I have acquired lately, there are some amazing musicians that keep popping into my radar. I was going to post all the albums in this post, but I thought that would be too much to handle all at once. Some bands/songs I have mentioned before and I am sure in the following months I will bring up a song or album again. There is an album for everyone, so stay tuned to find what you like and then if you are obsessed with music like moi or just need some new tunes, then you will make some or all of this music your own.

ps. part one of summer 2012 albums here and a summer mix you can download here.

Day Four//We left around 9am and had the most beautiful drive to Italy. Seriously breathtaking alps we went through. I think the drive there was my favorite part of the day. Also Lugano Switzerland, the Italian city in the Italian region of Switzerland, was GORGEOUS. OH my. I would love to go back there again and I highly recommend that city if you find yourself in Switzerland one summer.

We drove along lake Lugano into Italy on the narrowest streets...a few times I had to close my eyes because I was too nervous we would side swipe cars...but of course my euro husband is skilled at such narrow driving and we made it in one piece. Coming up to Lake Como in Italy was so beautiful too. We drove to the village called Menaggio which was so so beautiful. There we walked around for a bit, sat under a beautiful canopy on the water and ate lunch, Jachen and I got gelato Jachen-watermelon and pistachio, me-pistachio{my favorite gelato flavor} and coconut{amazing too} and then we headed over to the boat docking and road a boat over to the village Varenna. Varenna is super small and on a really narrow cliff and was a beautiful example of an Italian cliff village. However beautiful it was we weren't too into climbing those steep stairways in the hot hot weather that was going on. So we ate more gelato this time, Jachen-yogurt, me-lemon.

The plan was that the Nylands would take a train from Varenna to Milan and so we left them there and headed back on a boat to Menaggio. Jachen and I planned on eating pizza for dinner in Menaggio, but we were too hot and not in the mood for food so we walked around a bit more, explored some churches and then headed home. On the way we stopped at a grocery store in Italy for something to eat for dinner on the way home. I was hoping to find something "Italian" there, but we ended up just getting bread and salami meat...one of our favorite things to eat in Switzerland.

So that was our trip. Enjoy a little video of some of the video I took yesterday, I wish I took more...I need to be better about remembering to take video.

Day Three//After church we drove up the mountains to see the village and home we used to live in. They met Jachen's grandparents as well. Then we drove around the beautiful mountain hills and drove up to the base of the Santis Mountain where there was an old car show going on, some seriously amazing vintage european cars. More driving through windy Swiss roads and mountains and had a picnic lunch in a meadow. Then we headed back home to rest, we are really good at resting. We had Raclette for dinner, a traditional Swiss meal...look it up if you don't know what it is and want to know what it is. After dinner we prepared for our trip to Italy taking place tomorrow and the Nylands got their bags ready. Tomorrow we are spending the day on Lake Como, Italy then the Nylands go on to Milan and Venice while we drive back home. We will pick them up in Zurich on Friday after their Italy fun.

We have had such nice weather, almost too nice. Our small flat has surprisingly not been too small feeling for all these bodies living in it. Henry is so so fun and so so cute, like I said before. He loves playing on mine and Jachen's bed because our bed is low to the ground and he can climb up on it himself.

The video I mentioned yesterday that I tried to upload, here it is now.

ps. today I just used my ipod to take photos. big mistake, I always forget how bad of quality the pictures are with the camera on my ipod. tomorrow in Italy, i will for sure be using my digital slr.
