This is the third October in a row that Jachen and I have spent a day in Luzern...it's tradition and this year we decided to invite Jachen's sisters along for the fun...but only Desiree was able to make it. As you can see it was a pretty fun outing. About 10 videos I shot never saved onto my iPod{thanks to the stupid iOS6 update...i'm guessing} so a lot more of our day is missing from these videos and pictures. Such a bummer. We haven't seen his sister in about a year so it was good to see her, especially good for Jachen to see her again.

It was such a gorgeous Saturday...actually the sun was a little too warm for my Fall liking...you can see in the videos of me my cheeks were getting rosy from the sun on my face in the car. We decided to drive a different way to Luzern than we ever have, and it turns out that's a beautiful way to get there as well. I wish you could see it in person, the beauty in the videos is NOTHING compared to the magnitude of real life. The mountains and Alps are huge and so so beautiful.

As soon as we pulled into Luzern, we picked up Desiree, Jachen's youngest sister/sibling, at the train station and drove over to where Jachen and I like to start out our Luzern tradition...a little park on the lake. We took some pictures and ate a picnic lunch. We then made our way back into the heart of the city and checked out the Lion carved in the mountain, followed by walking the city streets, eating McFlurries, window shopping, walking the old bridge, taking pictures and for me, a lot of watching Jachen goof off with his sister.

Then we made our way to the "fair" and Jachen tried to win Desiree a huge Chupa Chups sucker...didn't happen of course...that claw game is a scam. Then Jachen and Desiree easily loaded a Haribo bag up with sweet and sour candies. We ate some, talked, divided the rest of the candy up and then sent Desiree back home on the train. Jachen and I headed back to our car and made the 2hr drive back home. Mission accomplished.
