< Our Weekend >

Saturday our plan was to use our free passes Jachen got from work to ride a boat on Lake Bodensee over to Germany and spend the afternoon and early evening there...well when we arrived to the boat Jachen found out our tickets were only good for the Swiss boat not the German boat. So we either could use the tickets to ride along the Swiss side or wait til later that day to ride the Swiss boat to Germany...which wouldn't give us enough time over in Germany before the shops closed...bummed out we decided to save those tickets til later.

Instead we decided to go into Appenzell, somewhere both of us have been MANY times before, but decided to make it a different experience. So that is just what we did. We made sure to walk down streets we hadn't before and I made myself photograph different things around the city. It was great! It was like we went to a completely different place! We even went inside the church/cathedral that was in the village that we had never gone in before. We had no idea how beautiful it would be in there and lucky us someone was playing the organ when we were there.

Then we decided to take a new road home, which was a great idea because we saw some beautiful Switzerland I tell ya, as you can see below, then we went to our favorite Kebab joint in our city to pick us up some Durums and headed up to a castle up the hill from our home. What a beautiful view for a picnic dinner. After dinner and exploring the castle we went a new way home and ran into ANOTHER castle! A great way to end our day of exploration!

A million pictures below.

Appenzell

My dream Swiss home...this home had great style, an amazing location in Appenzell, a great yard, and a big grass field next to it. My kind of Swiss home.

Taking a new way home..it's amazing what you can find when choosing a new street. You may even run into another castle. I really like this first picture of Jachen car dancing with his hat backwards.

Days like this remind me that I love Switzerland.
