|| Parents In Switzy//Day 5//France Part One ||

Day Five Tuesday// We drove Tuesday morning to Colmar France which is outside of the north western Swiss border{which is a 2.5 hour drive from our home}. My dad and I went here a couple years ago and we wanted to go back and spend more time there since our previous visit had been too short. {you can see our first visit, here} Colmar is the birth place of the man who made the Statue of Liberty for the USA...fun fact.

When we arrived in Colmar we found a park to have a picnic lunch and then made our way into the centre of the city. A lot of walking around, looking in shops, walking in shade so to avoid the hot hot heat, buying of goods and enjoying the beautiful old architecture. Once early evening came around we drove an hour further north to another French town called Strasbourg, which is actually considered the capital of Europe{it's where the European Union Council meets}, where we checked into our hotel and stayed the night. I will blog about Strasbourg tomorrow, hopefully...we have another long day tomorrow traveling around beautiful Switzerland.

Here is some of what we found in Colmar.

I love how they put the ingredients of the gelato right on top. the mini nutella bottle is cute. I'm glad you guys got to go to France, even if it isn't Paris.
