New Years Eve morning dad, Jachen, and I headed downtown to go to the Pike Place Market for breakfast. We met my sister Stephanie and her family down there and ate at a restaurant overlooking the waterfront, see our breakfast's view in the first picture. After breakfast we explored the market a bit and then with our bellies still full of breakfast bought THE best mini donuts...it's a MUST at Pike Place. No matter how stuffed you are.
After Pike Place, dad, Jachen and I drove down to a Marina...a particular place I have never been so it was cool to see a new angle of Seattle/the Space Needle.
Then on the way home we hit up D&D meats...which is packed full of meat, meat/hot sauces, other fixin's and lots and lots of cool bottled sodas. Man am I a sucker for a cool bottled soda. I couldn't decide which to get, so I let Jachen chose for me. He chose a Creme soda for me a Ginger Beer{non alcoholic for him} and my dad got a ginger soda as well....his was crazy spicy! {dad bought some meat as well}
In the evening, the family all came over to hang out/play games to ring in the new year. We also had a mini b-day celebration for my nephew Xander who turned 2 today, Jan 1st. We watched the fireworks on the Space Needle at midnight, and that was a pretty awesome show...haven't watched that for years.
Pretty great way to spend the last day of the year, I would say.
