|| Parents in Switzy//Day 1&2 ||

My parents came into town! My dad has traveled here to Switzerland almost every year for like 8 years now? for business and my mom went with him once when he came for business. A couple years ago when I was an Au pair in the Zurich area, my dad happened to come on business so I was able to spend a few days traveling with him around Switzerland, and drove to France and Germany...but other than that my dad mostly just comes for business and hasn't had much chance to enjoy Switzerland. So it's nice he can be here and just enjoy. I am so happy they are here and so far, it's been great.

Day One//We picked up my parents at the Zurich airport Friday evening, last night, came home and had yummy bratwurst, Rosti and steamed veggies for dinner. Chatted, watched some Mr. Bean with mom and dad and then headed to bed.

Day Two//This morning my parents got some nice sleeping in, we chatted for a bit in the morning, planned some meals, made a grocery list and then headed to Migros, the name of a Swiss grocery store. If you have been to Europe you know, I am sure, how fun it is to go shopping in different grocery stores where there is all sorts of new things to discover...and eat. My parents had fun for sure, especially that dad of mine. I let them know when we arrived at Migros that we could take as long as they wanted and my dad took me up on that. Migros is a great grocery store, full of yummy yummy Swiss delights.

I filmed some videos while grocery shopping today and put it together for you...so enjoy shopping with us! {it's kinda longish, but a pretty good example of what to expect shopping here}

Our spoils...of course we bought more then we went for.

Jachen randomly showing his favorite song on Enchanted...don't know what that was about.
Then, a little picture show and tell from dads camera of family back home...typical.

Right now as I am blogging, mom has gone to bed and the rest of us are watching Tin Tin, Dad is way into it and earlier for dessert we scarfed our faces with Swiss chocolate. A must. {Also, after we came home from grocery shopping we watched Thor, a movie my parents hadn't seen before. I know lot's of detail, but I don't want to forget their trip.}

That's all for now. Headed to bed soon so we can start day 3!

that grocery store is crazy. it is decision overload. How would you ever decide which pasts to get? seriously. And why arent there more overweight people there, geez, all those sweets, cheeses, and bread. I dont get it. Dad must have been in heaven. What were those red eggs with the white swiss symbol? where they real eggs? so fun, i am so jealous.
